MUSKEL is indicated for symptomatic relief in acute musculoskeletal disorders associated with
muscle spasm.

Contraindications |

|
|
MUSKEL is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. It is not
advocated in small children below 18 months of age. |

Precautions & Warnings |

|
|
|
MUSKEL should be administered with caution in patients with acid-peptic disease, impaired renal or
liver functions, blood dyscrasias, and in patients with hypersensitivity to aspirin or other nonsteroidal
anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
|
| |
|
|
|
|
| |
|
|
|
MUSKEL should be used in pregnant women and nursing mothers only if absolutely required. Data
on safety and efficacy of diclofenac in children is not adequate. |

|
|
|
|
| |
|
|
|
Avoid alcoholic beverages whilst taking MUSKEL.
|
| |
|
|
|
|
| |
|
|
|
|
| |
|
|
|
Adverse Reactions |
| |
|
|
|
|
| |
|
|
|
The most common side effects are gastric pain, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea; rarely peptic ulcer
and gastrointestinal bleeding occur. Infrequently, hypersensitivity reactions, malaise, change in
appetite and weight, and eye disorders are possible due to diclofenac / paracetamol (in MUSKEL).
Neurological reactions possible include headache, drowsiness, insomnia, irritability and mood
disturbances.

MUSKEL can rarely cause hepatitis, renal dysfunction and blood dyscrasias. Chlorzoxazone (in MUSKEL) can cause allergic reactions, drowsiness, dizziness, light-headedness, malaise, over
stimulation, and skin changes. |

Drug Interaction |

|
|
|
Concomitant use of MUSKEL with aspirin, methotrexate, digoxin, cyclosporin, triamterene and
lithium is not advocated due to possibility of drug interaction.
